Owners Rob and Yael have long recognised that the way people want to experience destinations, meet people and understand the true essence of a place, is evolving quickly. Sensing an opportunity to offer guests greater immersion during their stay and opportunity to participate in a range of activities few people can do, Ecopia Retreat now offer a range of bespoke, immersive activities on the property, certainly “off the beaten track”.
Activities range from an exclusive Marron Experience where guests join owner Rob Clements for a twilight bushwalk on the banks of the Eleanor River, where they experience a local pastime and rare opportunity to catch this Kangaroo Island delicacy. They can then taste this freshwater crayfish if they wish, while enjoying a gourmet BBQ and some local wine. Another activity is an intimate nocturnal tour allowing guests the opportunity to view the abundance of wildlife, with the aid of a specially designed, red filtered, nocturnal LED torch.
If it is a dining experience guests are after, a chance to be taken on a culinary journey, a degustation of all things delicious on KI. Guests can’t go past the opportunity to let the Ecopia team arrange a fully catered dinner by a locally renowned chef. All this in an intimate outdoor setting under the stars, or in the privacy of their villa. This experience is unique, convenient, luxurious, delicious, and absolutely memorable!
