We stayed in different spots as we were on the Island for 10 days, mostly camping in our caravan.
If you’re looking for something a bit more luxury, we’d highly recommend staying at this gay-friendly registered wildlife sanctuary on Kangaroo Island: Ecopia Retreat. The scenery, the surrounds, and the retreat is one of the most epic stays we’ve ever had in Australia. You’ll likely see wallabies and wildlife from the window, and not only that, but Yaely and Robbie are such amazing LGBT+ allies and some of the nicest humans you’ll ever meet.
If you only have a 3-days to explore the island and are considering this luxury eco-retreat experience, we’d totally recommend clicking here to see the post we made about Ecopia, and having a read of our caption by clicking the image. It is honestly the perfect place to stay on the island if you want somewhere to call home. Yaely and Robbie will absolutely take care of you, just like they took care of us.
